PlayJoy turns every run into a percentile across six abilities. Here is what each axis means, where it comes from, and how to train the one you want to move.
The ability radar is not a vanity chart. It is a percentile profile built from your real runs, and it tells you which kind of thinking you are actually exercising on this site.
Understanding the six axes makes it obvious why one week of Minesweeper moves a different number than one week of Word Groups.
The six axes
Logical reasoning comes from deduction games (Sudoku, Nonogram, Minesweeper). Working memory comes from holding several facts at once (Memory Match, Sudoku). Processing speed comes from Math Rush and Memory Match. Verbal reasoning and creative thinking come almost entirely from Word Groups and Mathler. Pattern recognition comes from 2048, Nonogram and Word Guess.
Where the percentile comes from
Each run is scored against everyone else who played that game and level on that date, then mapped to the abilities that game trains. Your radar is the average across your recent runs, weighted by how well you did. A single great Sudoku does more for logic than ten mediocre ones.
Training the axis you want
Pick the ability, then the game. Want faster verbal retrieval? Play Word Groups daily for a fortnight. Want stronger working memory? Memory Match and Sudoku. The radar is a compass, not a scoreboard — use it to choose what to play next.
FAQ
Why is my creative score almost always low?
Only Word Groups trains creative thinking, so unless you play it often that axis stays thin. That is the point — the radar shows the gap.
Does the radar need an account?
No. It is computed from your device runs. Sign in only to carry it across devices.
