DMCA & Copyright Policy

Last updated 2026-10-11

PlayJoy respects the intellectual property of others and expects users of the site to do the same. This page explains how to report an alleged infringement.

Our own content

All puzzles published on PlayJoy are generated by our own software. Game text, scoring explanations and guides are written by us. Where a game is inspired by a well-known public mechanic — Sudoku, Minesweeper, the 2048 tile-merge idea, five-letter word guessing — we implement it ourselves and do not copy another site’s code, assets or puzzle bank.

We do not use third-party game titles, logos, characters or artwork.

Submitting a notice

If you believe material on PlayJoy infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] with the following: (1) your contact details; (2) identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed; (3) the exact URL of the material on PlayJoy; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised; (5) a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner; and (6) a physical or electronic signature.

We act on valid notices promptly and will notify the person responsible where possible.

Counter-notice

If material you submitted was removed and you believe it was removed by mistake, you may send a counter-notice containing your contact details, identification of the removed material and its former location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts where you are located.

Repeat infringers

We may terminate access for users who repeatedly post infringing material. Because playing does not require an account, this is handled by blocking the relevant anonymous identifier and, where relevant, the leaderboard name.

Trademarks

Game names belonging to other companies are used on PlayJoy only where necessary to describe a game genre in a way that is accurate and non-confusing, and never to imply affiliation or endorsement. If you are a rights holder and believe a reference is misleading, contact us and we will review it.
