PlayJoy publishes one free puzzle every day at midnight UTC, and every player in the world gets exactly the same one. Scores land on a single global leaderboard, and nine games can be played unlimited times without an account.
Why we built it
Daily puzzles work because they are shared. A score only means something if the person you tell it to played the same board. That single idea — one puzzle, everyone, one ranking — is the whole product, and everything else exists to serve it.
How it works
- Puzzles are generated by deterministic algorithms seeded with the date. Nobody writes them by hand.
- Six puzzle types rotate on a fixed schedule, so you always know what is coming.
- Every run is replayed and re-scored on our servers before it is ranked.
- Percentiles feed a six-dimension ability profile rather than raw points.
What it costs
Today's puzzle is free and always will be. PlayJoy Pro is optional and pays for the archive and the servers. There is no pay-to-win: Pro never affects a score.
Originality
The mechanics here are long-standing public puzzle ideas — Sudoku, Minesweeper, the 2048 tile merge, five-letter word guessing. Every implementation on this site is written by us, and we do not use other companies' game names, art or puzzle banks. See the DMCA policy for details.
