Memory Match is the one game on PlayJoy where the skill is not reasoning but honest attention. Flip two cards, remember what you saw, and clear the board with as few flips as possible.

The daily board scales from six pairs on level one to ten pairs on level three. Because the layout is seeded by the date, everybody flips the same arrangement — which makes the leaderboard a genuine test of recall rather than of luck.

A system that actually works

Do not flip randomly hoping for luck. On your first pass, deliberately flip pairs of cards you have never seen and read them out silently by name. The act of naming moves the card from visual memory into verbal memory, and verbal memory survives far longer.

Once you know two matching positions, do not cash them in immediately. Bank the information and keep exploring; cashing pairs one at a time doubles your flip count. Strong players finish a ten-pair board in well under thirty flips.

Scoring

Score is driven by pairs cleared per second, scaled by accuracy. Since a mismatch adds both time and a penalty, the optimal strategy is slower than you think: one extra second of staring beats a wrong flip every time.

How Memory Match is scored

score = (pairs × 1000 ÷ seconds) × accuracy + pairs × 40
